Davi Gendel, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from UCLA with my Masters in Social Welfare in 2002 and have been fully licensed since 2005. I have worked with people in all stages of life focusing mostly on helping people with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and chronic pain. I am also an LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity affirming therapist whose role is to help you flourish as the most true and complete version of yourself.

An Integrative Approach

My approach is to blend traditional psychotherapy, which emphasizes your mind’s thoughts and feelings, with somatic therapy and mindfulness. Using a combined mind-body approach allows me to tailor my approach to you and your unique needs. We will also laugh. That isn’t what most people think of when they think of therapy, but growth can be joyous, and we will find those moments and embrace them along the way. Regardless of what approach we decide on, I believe the most important part of therapy is establishing a safe and authentic connection.

Ultimately, I see my job as helping my clients through transitions so that they feel more confident and connected in their lives including in work, love, friendship, and creativity. If we are successful, my job is to put myself out of a job. I have seen many clients over the years create lasting change that enables them to no longer need me, and that is truly something to celebrate. It is my honor to get to walk part of your life’s path alongside of you.
